Find citations, abstracts, or the full text of articles from a variety of online databases. Access these databases, from the Library Gateway under Online Research Resources.  Limit to databases by Subject Area.

Alternative Press Index (1991 to date)
Indexes articles from nearly 300 newspapers, magazines and journals from the alternative and independent press. Topics include African-American studies, ethnic and racial studies, feminism, gay/lesbian studies, labor studies, socialism, alternative organizations, anarchism, prisons, indigenous people's rights, and internationalism.

Contemporary Women’s Issues (full text; 1992 to date)
Covers a wide range of topics related to women's issues including development, human rights, work, education, politics, legal studies, reproductive rights, family issues, and gay/lesbian issues. Includes scholarly articles, magazines, newsletters, research reports, fact sheets

GenderWatch (full text; 1970 to date)
GenderWatch includes scholarly journals, magazines, newspapers, newsletters, regional publications, books, and NGO, government and special reports. There will be overlap between GenderWatch and Contemporary Women's Issues, but GenderWatch focuses more on the United States.

Left Index (1982 to date)
Includes over 162,535 citations and abstracts with some full text to scholarly journals, radical publications, books, book chapters, theses and dissertations, newsletters, and internet documents.

Sociological Abstracts (1983 to date)
Identifies articles, conference papers, books and dissertations in sociology and related fields.

Women’s Studies International (1972 to date)
Provides citations only to journals, books, book chapters, proceedings, NGO reports, and gray literature. Over 2,000 periodical sources are represented.

Worldwide Political Science Abstracts  (1975 to date)
Identifies articles on political science, international relations, law, public administration and policy.
