Frequently Asked Questions
  1. Where is the bookstore?
It is located in the Vet Med Surgery and Obstetrics Laboratory; south of the LAC (Large Animal Clinic) and SAC (Small Animal Clinic). Hours vary, so call 333-5552 or email them at VSIL_Bookstore@yahoo.com to check their hours or if you have questions. A map and tentative store hours are posted on the library bulletin board.

  2. Where is the Dean's office?
On the 3rd floor of the Basic Science Building near the elevators.

  3. Do you ever give away books?
Yes - free book fairs are held every 1 or 2 years. These books have been donated to the Vet Med Library, but are given away if they are not needed by the library system. Announcements of the fairs are sent to the students and staff of the College of Veterinary Medicine, but not to anyone outside of the college.

  4. How do I get access to the building when it is closed?
University personnel (faculty, staff and students) may be eligible for permission to access to the VMBSB after hours. Click Here to learn more.

  5. Copiers and Copy Cards
The Vet Med library has 3 copy machines. The 2 machines in the copy room (room 1257B) are provided by the library. They can be operated only with a Equitrac card purchased from the Vet Med librarian; these cards will not work in any other machines. You can buy these cards with a university account or by personal check (no cash, please). The 2 library machines can make double sided copies or do sheet feeding. Cost: $0.09 each.

The library also has 1 campus vending machine: it takes coin, cash, value-added I-card, or value card. Cash can be added to your I-card in the Vet Med library. This copier cannot make double sided copies or do sheet feeding. Your value-added I-card or value card can be used in any other campus vending machine at the university. There are two other campus vending machines within the Vet Med complex: one is on the 2nd floor of the Basic Sciences Building near the VM1/VM2 mailboxes. The other is by room 80 in the SAC. Cost for value-added I-card or value card: $0.09 each. Cost for coin or cash: $0.15 each.

The old print services cards (green/gold colored) can no longer be used anywhere on campus.
