Finding books by subject
Use the suggestions below to search for a book by subject.
1. Go to the Online Library Catalog.
2. Use a Quick
Search by entering your subject term(s) in the Search for box (left side),
select “browse subject” in the Search by box (right side), click
the Search button.
This will take you directly to a list of subject
headings used in the online catalog. Click on the headings that look most applicable to your topic to view a list of books.
3. Use an Advanced Search by entering your subject term(s) in one or more of the
Search for boxes and choosing “subject words” in the Search
by pull-down menu. If you use more than one of the search for
boxes, select the desired option(s) from AND, OR, or
NOT. Click the Search button.
To view subject headings associated with a topic click on the title and scroll down the record to the Subject Heading category.
