Librarian's Office Hours
Help is on the way!
What are Librarians' Office Hours?
Librarian's Office Hours (LOH) were created with the busy student in mind and serve to fill multiple roles. The LOH are much the same as the office hours any faculty member has, providing a time to confer one-on-one with an expert on a myriad of problems and questions. The office hours provide students an opportunity to receive assistance in a less open setting than the library reference desk and, at the same time, are not limited to the focus of topical workshops. Assistance is provided by Undergraduate Librarians and Graduate Assistants.
What kind of help can you get?
- General help using library resources
- Assistance in selecting appropriate resources for your topic
- Guidance in using advanced techniques in database searching
- In depth term paper research counseling
Who are they for?
Although the LOH were created with undergraduates in mind, any UIUC student is welcome to drop in for assistance.
