Equipment - Specification and Ordering

Inventory - A database of all the Library's computer equipment.

ILL Support -

Document Delivery via Prospero - [Planned to retire]

Illiad - Setup and maintain software and web access.

ILLiad Application Customization - Open url, netid authentication.

Laptops/Projectors

Personal Laptops - Personal hardware not supported by our office. Software is supported on a work-needed basis, with appropriate licensing.

Miscellaneous - Custom Software Development, Database (Design, Consultation, Development), Bluestem Application Servers and Scripts

Batch Load Interface between III and Voyager -

Data Feeds - We operate ongoing data feeds to and from campus systems for billing, creating user accounts, invoices, and patron loads.

IP Monitor System Alert Tools - Biweekly upload of student and staff names and addresses to the Voyager Patron Database.

Network - Library VLAN Management, Changes (ordering/activing jacks, etc.)

Design Work (with CITES) - Work closely with CITES Network Design Office to implement major changes & additions to the network in Library spaces.

E-Resource

Database Software Development - We produce and manage software to register and deliver electronic resources.

Statistics Processing - Programming done for statistical analysis.

Security Scans - We run internal and external network scans on library servers and workstations and correct any security issues.

Migration of Contents to new Servers - Move data from old hardware to new hardware.

Servers/Hosting - Provide server space, network access, data backup and maint. for external servers.

Software License and Record Keeping - We keep track of the Library's software licenses.

Upgrades - Write hardware specs., purchase, and setup new hardware, software, operating systems, and applications.

Systems Administration - List of Servers

Web -

Secure (SSL encryption) and restricted-access web - Buy and install the certificates and configure SSL server for secure web access.
