| Remote Wired Access for UIUC Library Staff | ||||||||||||
We recommend using wired access to connect to the UIUC network. Your library-owned computer should already be configured for DHCP (see What is DHCP? for more information about DHCP). Once your computer is turned on and connected to the network, you should be able to access the UIUC network. The first time, though, that you connect to a wired network (from a hotel room, conference center, university, etc.), you may have to refresh your IP number. (see Releasing and renewing your DHCP-based IP address). In order to access your G and H drives, see UIUCLIBRARY Server Resources.
