Although this is labeled the Statistical "Regional Bureau of Statistics of Central Estonia" the page contains links to information on all of Estonia. There is a great deal of data from the 1997 Estonian statistical handbook. All links are clearly labeled as to language.

The user simply enters the single word to be translated, and clicks on a space indicating if the term entered is in English or Estonian. The dictionary returns the equivalent term in the other language.
Educational InstitutionsURL: http://www.hm.ee/ This site has a listing of links and contacts for secondary schools, a database of all programs offered at Estonian universities, the texts of legislation pertaining to education, etc. There are also lists of all the institutions of higher learning with links to their homepages and email addresses for contacting the institution. The site is only available in Estonian. Government and LawURL: http://www.riik.ee English, Estonian and Russian versions. Extensive national and local government website. Includes, for example, the full text of the constitution, the Government's statement of goals, a biographical entry on the prime minister, a statement of economic policies and a variety of other pages on government issues and offices. The site contains a biographical page on the president as well as information on the history of the office, his staff, the building which houses his office, press releases, announcements, etc. Some of the links lead you to pages in Estonian. URL: http://www.riigikogu.ee In English and Estonian. Parliamentary links to informational sites on the history and current activities of the Parliament. The text of the constitution is available in English. URL: http://www.riigiteataja.ee/ For those seeking the full texts of Estonia's more recent laws (those passed since 1992) this is an excellent resource. The site provides access to the laws by subject word, date and law number. The full text of the laws is supplied through a linking site. The site is entirely in Estonian.
Language and LiteratureURL: http://www.eki.ee/index.html.en A wealth of resources on the Estonian language is available at this site. These include a grammar, a variety of dictionaries (including a dictionary of Estonian slang, a phrase dictionary and a dictionary of dialect), and a number of very useful links. There is a link here to an extensive site on Estonian folklore. There is also a link to texts on Estonian writers. The links to "Other resources about Estonia(n)" are extremely useful. They have listed the English language sources on the right of the pages, the Estonian on the left. These do not completely duplicate one another.
Libraries and ArchivesURL: http://www.nlib.ee/ In English and Estonian. The library catalog here allows access to books cataloged in Estonia between 1991 and 1998, periodicals published from 1994-1998, journal articles published in Estonia since 1999. There is also information on holdings of a consortium of Estonian libraries since January 1999. One of the unique features of the catalog is that a subject term can be entered in English and a translated term will be supplied for searching purposes. There are links here to the Estonian Library Association. URL: http://www.elnet.ee/index_i.html This is a project to link the library resources of Estonia. At present the page listed here provides convenient access to a number of the major libraries in the region. The site is available in English and Estonian URL: http://www.ra.ee/ This site provides information on the Estonian National Archives. Along with extensive contact information, the structure of the archive is described in detail. There is also a helpful list of archival terms included for those unfamiliar with archival research. Perhaps one of the most useful features of the site are the links to the historical archive and state archives. The historical archive has a search engine for searching the fondy of the collection in German or English. While the State Archive does not include such a tool, there is an extensive description of the archival holdings. The Historical and State Archives both have some information in English. MapsURL: http://atlas.ibs.ee/index.cgi.en This is an atlas with a search engine. It is possible to identify villages, parishes, for some of the large cities even streets. One interesting feature of the map is that it is possible to find prewar locations for some places. There is a drop down list that allows you to select streets, wards, parishes, etc. which can be combined with a term you enter in another box or searched alone. The search can be performed in English or Estonian. The site is maintained by the Institute of Baltic Studies. MediaURL: http://www.ee/mkiosk/ This is an Estonian site that provides links to a number of Estonian journals and newspapers. Back issues for some titles are made available using Acrobat Reader so the user must have this program loaded. The issues of some titles are archived for at least a year. URL: http://www.bns.ee/ This is the largest news agency in Estonia. The sites listed here provide access to Russian language sources, some subscription services, Estonian economic statistics, and a variety of other information sources that will be of interest to anyone working in the area. There is also access to television through this site.
Phone and Email DirectoriesURL: http://www.infopluss.ee/ This is a very easy to use directory, primarily for businesses. The user can select from categories or enter a search term. There are also private listings and a reverse directory available. The directory is available in English, Estonian and Russian.
