Full Text Databasesbeetle

There are several full text databases, to which the library subcribes, that index Slavic materials. This list is not meant to be exhaustive but rather to give the researcher an idea of additional places to find full text articles. This list only includes full text databases which is why you won't find databases like MLA or Russian Acadamy of Sciences listed. Most databases listed under other categories are also not repeated here. Eastview databases and Global NewsBank are listed in other sections. Each database can be accessed by UIUC users from the library gateway or from the links below. For a complete list of full text databases available to UIUC users go to the article databases page.

UIUC ABSEES Contains: Publications related to Slavic and East European studies. Documents include articles, books, book chapters, book reviews, dissertations, and selected government publications on East-Central Europe and the former Soviet Union published in the United States and Canada. 
UIUC EIU Country Data Contains: Powerful database of annual, quarterly and monthly economic indicators and forecasts. EIU CountryData gives you access to 317 series on 150 countries and 45 regional aggregates, running from 1980 and forward to 2005.
UIUC Ethnic Newsline Contains: Full text of international publications issued in English. Includes newswires and media broadcast texts. Covers publications from 2001 to the present.
UIUC Ethinic News Watch Contains: AGBU: Armenian General Benevolent Union, AIM: Armenian International Magazine, The Armenian Reporter, Azerbaijan International, Russian Life, Ukrainian Weekly, We/MbI
UIUC Index Islamicus Contains: Publications on Islam, the Middle East and the Muslim world. Publication types include articles, books, conference proceedings and more. All citations include links either to holdings in library catalogs or full text.
UIUC ISI Emeriging Markets Contains: full-text news articles, financial statements, industry analyses, equity quotes, macroeconomic statistics, and market-specific information, which are derived directly from local information providers, appear in both English and the local language. The list of Slavic and East European markets covered currently includes: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Khazakhstan, Kyrgyztan, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Yugoslavia.
UIUC Periodical Abstracts Contains: Canadian Slavonic Papers, East European Quarterly, Europe-Asia Studies, Russian Life, Russian Review, Russian Social Science Review.
UIUC Wilson Select Plus Contains: Central European History, East European Politics and Societies, East European Quarterly, Russian Education and Society, Russian Politics and Law, Russian Socieal Science Review, Russian Studies in History, Sociological Research (former title Soviet Sociology).
UIUC World Development Report Contains: Access to the World Bank's annual World Development Reports from 1980 to the present
