Finding movies and videos
Find movies and other recordings on DVD or video cassette using the main UIUC online catalog. If you're looking for a specific title, the best way to find it is via the catalog's Quick Search screen. Simply type in the title you're looking for, select "Start of Title" from the "Search by:" list, and select "Films/Videos" from the "Quick Limit" dropdown, like so:
The largest collection of circulating (i.e. available-for-checkout) DVDs is in the Undergraduate Library's Media and Reserves Center. When a DVD is in this collection, its location will be noted as "Undergraduate Media Browsing." If its status is "Available," that means it's on the shelf and can be checked out. Note also the call number, which is needed to find the item on the shelf.
Items in the Undergraduate Library's circulating DVD collection can be checked out for 3 days.
