This guide covers the Arts in a very broad sense of the word. That is, it includes musical and theater arts and painting and other visual arts. It does not include literature or theater as drama which are covered in the Literature guide.

For the arts a number of excellent resources produced in the West are relevant for all of the countries of Eastern Europe. Please note these sources which are covered in the section on General Resources for the Arts before venturing into the specific country resources. Some English-language resources are discussed there.
