Milton and the Book Arts:
An Exhibition of Rare and Fine Editions
November 6—December 19, 2008

The exhibition accompanies a one-day conference: "John Milton: Iconoclast to Icon" that commences the same day at The Illinois Program for Research in the Humanities, 805 West Pennsylvania, Urbana.

Together, the exhibition and conference celebrate the 400th anniversary of the great English poet's birth.

The exhibition in the Rare Book & Manuscript Library (Room 346) is curated by Alvan Bregman and features numerous treasures from the exceptional, if not unsurpassed collection of Miltoniana at Illinois.
