A free resources which contains all the animal, plant, and virus names data found within the Thomson BIOSIS literature databases - Zoological Record®, BIOSIS Previews® and Biological Abstracts®. Bacteria names will be added soon. Search or browse taxa. Set up an email or RSS autoalert to be notified of new or changed names within a particular group.

International Plant Names Index
A free resource providing access to scientific names and associated basic bibliographical details of all seed plants, ferns and fern allies. Collaborativve effort of The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, The Harvard University Herbaria, and the Australian National Herbarium. Data are from the Index Kewensis (IK), the Gray Card Index (GCI) and the Australian Plant Names Index (APNI).

PsycINFO
Indexes articles, books and dissertations in psychology and related subjects, including animal behavior and behavioral ecology. Journal coverage includes selected articles from approximately 2,000 titles. Chapter and book coverage includes worldwide English-language material published from 1987 to the present with a substantial number of pre-1987 records. Dissertations constitute approximately 12% of the database. Features a well-developed thesaurus and cited references for records added after 1999.
Covers 1806 - present, updated weekly.
