COLLECTION: Romanian music materials (books, scores, recordings)
LOCATION AS OF 2001: Cataloged individually for circulating or restricted
collections. Some LP recordings may remain in storage.
PROVENANCE: Received on exchange from the Biblioteca Centrala de Stat a
Republicii Socialiste Romania and by donation from the Union of Composers of
Bucharest, at the instigation of visiting Prof. Mircea Cristescu.
WHEN ACQUIRED: 1979-1981
DESCRIPTION: Biblioteca Centrala: 10 scores and 6 LP discs or sets. Union of
Composers of Bucharest: 2 books, 36 scores, 23 LP discs. Heavy emphasis upon
contemporary music.
ARRANGEMENT: Most scores and records were processed individually and dispersed
within cataloged collections.
