DESCRIPTION: Facsimiles of tunebooks and other publications about music from the period, assembled by Hall while researching his dissertation "The Tunebook in America 1800-1820" (Univ. of Pennsylvania, 1967). The dissertation extends from 1800 to 1820 a bibliography of American tunebooks compiled by Allan P. Britton for the period 1780-1800.
