Mortenson Center Programs

The Mortenson Center for International Library Programs offers a wide variety of unique programs in order to fulfill our mission to provide professional development opportunities to library and information specialists around the world.

Associates Program
The Mortenson Center Associates Program offers an opportunity for librarians and information specialists to come to the University of Illinois to observe and learn first-hand the workings of a major U.S. academic library and to share their experiences with each other and their American colleagues. Participation in the Associates Program can be from eight weeks to nine months (one academic year).

Lecture Series
Each year the Mortenson Center sponsors a distinguished lecture by a renowned international speaker on a topic related to international understanding. The text and audio of the last few lectures are made available.
