*Housing for the eight-week program is higher due to the type of housing available for a stay of less than one semester.
**Living expenses are higher for the eight-week program due to higher cost of short-term meal contracts.
NOTE: These estimates do not include round-trip airfare between the home country and the University of Illinois. They also do not include the optional expense related to attendance at national conferences (estimate $1,000 to $2,000 per conference) or visits to libraries outside of Illinois (estimate $500 to $1,500 for each trip).
