Art Full Text, is a bibliographic database that indexes and abstracts
articles from periodicals published throughout the world. Full-text
coverage for selected periodicals is also included.
Art Index Retrospective
UIUC
Art Index Retrospective provides searchable index spanning 55 years of art
journalism from 420 noted publications around the globe, reflecting
coverage provided from 1929 through 1984. Art Index Retrospective cites
sources published in French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Dutch, as well
as English. In addition to periodicals, users will find data from
important yearbooks and select museum bulletins. Publications covered
focus on advertising art; antiques; archaeology; architecture and
architectural history; art history; computers in art; crafts; decorative
arts; fashion; folk art; graphic arts; industrial design; interior design;
landscape architecture; motion pictures; museology; painting; photography;

Humanities Citation Index

The Arts & Humanities Citation Index provides access to current
bibliographic information and cited references for more than 1,140 arts
and humanities journals, and relevant items from over 7,000 science and
social sciences journals. Topics include archaeology, architecture, art,
Asian studies, classics, dance, folklore, history, language, linguistics,
literary reviews, literature, music, philosophy, poetry, radio, television
and film, religion, and theater. Covers 1980-present, updated weekly.
ATLA
Religion Database UIUC
The ATLA Religion Database is a comprehensive reference tool designed to
support the religious and theological scholarship of graduate students and
faculty. It is produced by the American Theological Library Association,
and covers such topics as Biblical studies, world religions, church
history, and religious perspectives on social issues. The database covers
research literature in over 30 languages from 1400 journals. About half
the material covered is English language, with extensive coverage of
European publications. Coverage: periodicals, 1949-present; index to book
reviews, 1975-present; index to Doctor of Ministry Project Reports and
theses, 1981-present. Links are provided to full text of thousands of
journal articles and book reviews from international titles and
multi-author works in the ATLA Serials Database (ATLAS).
Bibliography of the History of Art
UIUC
Covering European and American art from late antiquity to the
present, the Bibliography of the History of Art indexes and abstracts
art-related books, conference proceedings and dissertations, exhibition
and dealer's catalogs, and articles from more than 2,500 periodicals. The
Bibliography of the History of Art is updated quarterly and covers 1973 to
the present.
Bibliographie Der Deutschen Sprach- Und Literaturwissenschaft UIUC
This bibliography, retrospective to
1990, contains entries for primary and secondary material for German
literature and language studies. There are several search options, for
instance, by author name, title of work, journal title, publication year,
keyword, and locale. Simple and combination searches allow add greater
flexibility to queries.

FRANCIS provides indexing and abstracting for more than 4,200 periodicals
in the humanities and social sciences published mainly in Western Europe
and North America, plus selective coverage of conference papers and
chapters in edited collections. Coverage begins with 1984. Subject
headings are provided in French and English, and there are searchable
abstracts in French. FRANCIS is produced by the Centre National de la
Recherche Scientifique.

Historical Abstracts is your complete reference guide to the history of
the world from 1450 to the present (excluding the United States and
Canada, which are covered in America: History and Life).
International Index to Music Periodicals (IIMP)
UIUC
International Index to Music Periodicals Full Text draws its current
content from more than 325 international music periodicals from over 20
countries with over 50 Full Text titles. IIMP Full Text also includes
retrospective coverage from over 165 periodicals dating back as far as
1874. Included in the current and retrospective titles are 29 complete-run
titles, from inception to the present (or final) issue, and many
partial-run titles. IIMP Full Text covers nearly all aspects of the world
of music, from the most scholarly studies to the latest crazes. The
database provides full text for 50 titles back to 1997.
International Medieval Bibliography
UIUC
The International Medieval Bibliography is a bibliography of the European
Middle Ages, covering Europe, the Middle East and North Africa in the
period 400-1500, and has been published since 1968. The entries are drawn
from the regular coverage of over 4,000 periodicals and from a total of
5,000 miscellany volumes. All aspects of life are covered. Annual updates
are scheduled.

IBZ has been the
preeminent German index to periodical literature in English, German, and
other European languages since 1896. Articles in the humanities, social
sciences, physical sciences, and life sciences are included. IBZ-ONLINE
(1983-date) is updated monthly. Searches may be conducted in German
English, or other European languages; however for the most part only
citations to articles in the languages searched in will be retrieved.
Searches can be conducted by author, keyword in title, publisher, ISBN,
ISSN, and other access points . The "browse" command in the upper-left
hand box enables a searcher to view the subject thesaurus.
Italinemo WWW
Index of Italian Studies periodicals published worldwide since 2000.
Italinemo provides a list of periodicals indexed, description of the
periodical and abstracts of each article. The search feature allows for
searches by author, title, keyword, periodical title and collaborators.
Iter: Gateway
to the Middle Ages and Renaissance
UIUC
Iter, means 'a journey' or 'a path' in Latin. The goal of Iter is to
increase access to all published materials pertaining to the Middle Ages
and Renaissance (400-1700), through the creation of online bibliographic
databases. A Journals database of approximately 250,000 articles and
reviews drawn from over 400 medieval and renaissance journal titles is
currently available. It is updated daily and with more than 60,000 new
records added annually. Iter's future plans include providing access to
conference proceedings, dissertations, online resources, and works of art
and music, and publishing directories of medieval and renaissance
scholars, research projects and organizations.
JSTOR (Journal Storage) UIUC
Includes the full-text of over 100 journals in the areas of African
American studies, anthropology, Asian studies, ecology, economics,
education, finance, history, literature, mathematics, philosophy,
political science, population studies, sociology, and statistics. Most
include full texts of complete journals from their inception up to a
"moving wall. " The moving wall is a fixed period of time ranging, in most
cases, from 2 to 5 years, that defines the gap between the most recently
published issue and the date of the most recent issues available in JSTOR.
MLA International Bibliography
UIUC
The MLA International Bibliography indexes articles from over 3,000
scholarly journals, theses, proceedings, and books on literature, language
and folklore. The indexing of scholarly journals is reasonably
comprehensive for the major languages of the world. The coverage of books
and theses is not as inclusive as it is for journal articles. Book reviews
are not included. Ancient and classical languages are excluded. Covers
1963-present.
Music Index UIUC
Music Index covers primarily English language music periodicals but does include some foreign language titles. The Music Index is available in print format, 1949-present. Online covers 1979- present.
Philosopher's
Index

The Philosopher's Index provides indexing and abstracts from books and
journals of philosophy and related fields. It covers the areas of ethics,
aesthetics, social philosophy, political philosophy, epistemology, and
metaphysic logic as well as material on the philosophy of law, religion,
science, history, education, and language.
PCI Periodical Content Index
UIUC
Online periodical archive of backfiles of
periodicals in the humanities and social sciences. Provides context for
each entry by displaying it within the table of contents from the original
source journal. The scope is worldwide and includes journals in English,
German, Italian, French, Spanish and other Western languages. Major
subjects included are: anthropology and ethnology, archaeology and ancient
civilizations, area studies, art and architecture, black studies,
economics and business studies, education, geography, general history,
American history, humanities, Jewish studies, law, library and information
science, linguistics and philology, literature, and music and performing
arts.
Project MUSE

Project Muse, created by Johns Hopkins University Press and the
Milton S. Eisenhower Library, enables access to the full text of over 40
of the Press's scholarly journals in the humanities, the social sciences,
and mathematics. Subjects include psychology, mathematics, history,

literature, performing arts, human rights, religion, children’s
literature, philosophy, politics, and others. Coverage varies among
journals, usually from between 1994-1997 to the present

Areas covered include historical musicology, ethnomusicology, instruments
