Finding articles in journals

The Map and Geography Library has several important indexing and abstracting sources in print format for finding publications in geography and related areas: Geographical Abstracts - Human Geography, Geographical Abstracts - Physical Geography, and Current Geographical Publications. Pre-1999 issues of Geographical Abstracts and current and past issues of Current Geographical Publicationsare kept in the Reading Room on the index table underneath the window.

GeoBase, the electronic version of Geographical Abstracts from 1990 to the present, is available through the University Library to UIUC students, staff, and faculty.

Links to other geographically-related databases can be found on the Map and Geography Library's Digital Journals page.

UIUC students and faculty have access to additional University Library subscriptions to indexing and abstracting databases, as well as full-text online journals through the Library's Online Research Resources page.
