I want to use the LIS library (or other campus libraries) when I'm on campus.
When is the library open?
I need help finding facts, citations, or materials on a subject. Who do I call?
What password do I use to access electronic information resources?
It depends on the resource.
-
Use your NetID and password to:
-
Use your 14-digit barcode number (found on your I-Card) to:
-
Log into UIUC Library Online Catalog
and access your own borrower account to track requests, monitor due dates, and renew books.
-
Save searches and create current awareness profiles in databases running
under the OVID interface, such as ERIC.
My 14-digit number on my I-Card isn't valid. Who can fix it?
-
Contact the Academic Outreach Librarian, Pat, at xlibrary@uiuc.edu
or 800-252-1360 ext. 33773.
I need an article. Can you fax it to me?
-
The Academic Outreach Library
handles all delivery of photocopied articles from the LIS (and other campus library)
collections. Submit your request
over the web, using their order form.
How can I learn to search ILLINET Online, article databases, the Internet?
If I want a book that is not for a UIUC class, can I order it and only
pay return postage?
-
Academic Outreach will send out library science-related books not required
for a specific course. Students need just to indicate n/a (not applicable)
in the space asking for the course information (on our online
request forms). Books that are not program-related should be obtained
through the student's public library.
