Preservation

The Preservation Unit exists to assure long-term access to the physical and intellectual contents of the Library's collections. This unit is in charge of bindery preparations, pamphlet binding, digital preservation, education and training about preservation, environmental monitoring, and the Brittle Books program. The Preservation Unit works closely with the Conservation Unit. It is located at 44 Library, and its website is located at http://www.library.uiuc.edu/prescons/.
