The Illinois State Geological Survey collection primarily focuses on Illinois geology. The collection also includes materials in the following disciplines: geology, geophysics, geochemistry, paleontology, energy and fuels, stratigraphy, mines and minerals, hydrogeology, and environmental geology as well as an extensive map collection. Special collections include original field notes. The Illinois State Geological Survey is located at 615 E. Peabody Dr. in the Natural Resources Building in Room 469.
