  • LAPTOC (Latin American Periodicals Table of Contents) - A searchable Web database that provides access to the tables of contents of more than 700 journals published in Latin America.  There is a wide variety of journals primarily covering the humanities and social sciences. English.
  • Institute of Latin American Studies - A "language and national resource center" that comprises various programs and departments related to Latin American studies. Includes Publications and links to various Centers. English.
  • Benson Latin American Collection - "A specialized research library focusing on materials from and about Latin America, and on materials relating to Spanish-speaking peoples in the United States." Includes online publications and exhibits, as well as a special page for Mexican-American/Latino studies. English.
  • Revolutionary Mexico in Newspapers - A guide to the 560 Mexican newspaper titles, dating primarily from 1900 to 1929, microfilmed by the University of Texas at Austin General Libraries and its Nettie Lee Benson Latin American Collection. English.

  • The Handbook of Latin American Studies - "The Handbook is a bibliography on Latin America consisting of works selected and annotated by scholars. Edited by the Hispanic Division of the Library of Congress, the multidisciplinary Handbook alternates annually between the social sciences and the humanities." Available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
  • Portals to the World - Internet resources organized by country. Latin American country resources selected and maintained by the Library of Congress's Hispanic Division. English.
  • Global Legal Information Network - "A database of laws, regulations, and other complementary legal sources." Use the Guest Search option to search by country and/or term. English.
  • Hispanic Reading Room - Serves as a "focal point to orient and assist researchers who seek to avail themselves of the immense opportunities afforded by Luso-Hispanic materials throughout the Library of Congress." Includes Online Collections. Available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

    • Latin Americanist Research Resources Pilot Project - "A cooperative initiative that seeks to improve access to the array of research resources published in Latin America." Consists of the Latin American Periodicals Tables of Contents, Latin American Open Archives Portal, and Presidential Messages. English.
  • CALAFIA (California Cooperative Latin American Collection Development Group) - A consortium of California libraries, CALAFIA was established to optimize resources and effort by promoting collaboration and coordination among member institutions in building Latin American area library resources. English.
  • Center for Research Libraries - "An international not-for-profit consortium of colleges, universities, and libraries... governed by the major research libraries of North America." English.
  • ISLA (Information Services Latin America) - An organization that combines "professional news monitoring services with educational and non-profit support activities." Site includes a host of special reports and useful links concerning Latin America. English.
  • LANE (Latin America North East Libraries Consortium) - A consortium "formed by a group of academic and research libraries in the northeastern United States committed to building and maintaining Latin American studies collections." English.
  • LASER (Latin American Studies Southeast Region) - "A consortium of large academic libraries in the Southeast U.S. and Puerto Rico devoted to the cooperative collecting of research materials on Latin America and the Caribbean." English.
  • MOLLAS (Midwest Organization of Libraries for Latin American Studies) - "This organization promotes and develops member Latin American Studies resources through cooperative and collaborative projects in the areas of collection development, preservation and access." English.
  • SALALM (Seminar on the Acquisition of Latin American Library Materials) - This site contains information about the organization's activities as well as links to collections of Latin American materials at U.S. universities and links to national libraries in Latin America.
