• Global Exchange (GX), an international, nonprofit human rights research and action organization.  This site features resources about its various campaigns, including information about human rights, global economic and labor rights and fair trade.

• Global Legal Information Network, a database of laws, regulations, and other complementary legal sources.

• United Nations

• Washington Office on Latin America, an organization that "promotes human rights, democracy and social and economic justice in Latin America and the Caribbean."

• Derechos. Source to online information about human rights in Latin America. From Derechos Human Rights, an international human rights organization. In English and Spanish.

• Science and Human Rights Program's Data Center of the AAAS. Contains links to reports and data concerning human rights violations internationally, with useful material on Guatemala.

• One World International. Human rights foundation with searchability by topic and country, and Latin American edition in Spanish.

• Fidamerica. An Internet-based network that works to fight rural poverty in Latin America and the Caribbean.

• Report of the Chilean National Commission on Truth and Reconciliation. This is the full text of the report originally issued in Spanish, but reissued in English by Notre Dame's Center for Civil and Human Rights. They have provided the text to the library, where it has been digitized.

• Human Rights Watch. "Human Rights Watch is dedicated to protecting the human rights of people around the world....Human Rights Watch is an independent, nongovernmental organization, supported by contributions from private individuals and foundations worldwide." Available in several languages, including Spanish and Portuguese.

• Amnesty International - "A worldwide campaigning movement that works to promote internationally recognized human rights."

• Rights Action - An organization that "raises funds for community development, human rights, and emergency relief projects in Southern Mexico, Central America, and Peru."
• "Land and Impunity in Guatemala: Paramilitary Violence and U.S. Investment in Morales, Izabal"

• The CIA Electronic Document Release Center recently issued documents related to Latin America.
