Voyager
- Most Library staff work with Voyager, the Library's integrated library system, on a regular basis--either with the staff side clients or with the online catalog.
- Voyager is a consortial system shared by 70+ libraries who are all members of CARLI. Each member library has its own database. All members also share a joint database known as I-Share (also known as the Universal Catalog.)
- Voyager Accounts -- All Library staff who work with the Voyager staff clients need individual Voyager accounts. Student employees generally share generic Voyager accounts, although occasional exceptions are made.
- Voyager Reports -- Library staff can submit requests to the Help Desk for Voyager reports of any kind. Generally, any type of data that is stored in UIUC's Voyager database can be extracted for use in management and statistical reports.
- Working With Voyager -- The Help Desk maintains the Library's internal Voyager web site providing access to a wealth of information about using Voyager at UIUC.
- New Titles List -- The Library's New Titles List allows staff and users to search for titles newly acquired through Voyager by either unit library or call number range, or a combination of both.
- Install Voyager Clients At Home -- Library personnel who need to work with Voyager staff clients at home can install the client software on their home computers.
- Report Problems With Voyager -- Log a Work Request to report problems in using Voyager or to ask questions about the system. The Help Desk Manager serves as the Voyager coordinator for the Library.
