Remote Access to Library Services
- There are several ways to connect to the Library services from off-campus locations (e.g., at home or while traveling).
- VPN Connections -- The CITES Virtual Private Networking (VPN) system provides off-campus users with a secure connection to the UIUC campus network and access to Library resources that require user authentication.
- UIUCnet Quick Connect -- The CITES UIUCnet Quick Connect service enables wireless users and users connected to campus walkup jacks to logon to campus services from a web browser.
- Dialup Service -- CITES dialup service enables Library personnel to connect to the campus network via a modem.
- Proxy Server For E-Resources -- The Library proxy server enables individuals with UIUC Net IDs to access licensed e-resources from off-campus
- G Drive, H Drive & Library Web Server (Cooper) -- Group directories on the G drive, Home directories on the H drive, and the Library Web Server can all be accessed from off-campus.
