2008

In 2008, because of the 16th International Congress on Archives in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), 21-27 July 2008, the Section has decided to suspend the organization of an annual conference, and to encourage its members to participate actively in the congress by proposing a session or participating in one of the Congress sessions.

The Congress title is: " *Archives, Governance and Development: Mapping Future Society*". Sessions should relate to this title. Proposals can be submitted in three rounds, the first closing on 1 December 2007, the second on 1 February 2008, the third on 1 April 2008. They will be received and assessed by the KL 2008 Programme Committee.

2009

For 2009, we have accepted an offer to host a conference from Lucia Maria Vellosos de Oliveira from the House of Rui Barbosa Foundation in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. More information on specific dates should be forthcoming in 2008.

2010

For 2010 we have an invitation to host a conference in Prague, Czech Republik, by Doc. Ph. Dr. Petr Svobodny from the University Archives of the Charles University and from Doc. Ph. Dr. Alena Misková from the Archives of the Czech Academy of Sciences. More information on specific dates should be forthcoming in 2009.
