Provides biographical and critical material on 78 Native American writers and orators, including historical figures such as Sitting Bull and contemporary writers such as Louise Erdrich. Each entry gives a summary of the writer's life, a list of major writings, book reviews, critical commentary, interviews, and a bibliography.
