Major Responsibilities

• Head of the Reference Library

  Manage the Reference Library, which includes a staff of 5.5 FTE librarians, 2 support staff, 4 FTE graduate students, and a collection of 30,000 volumes and numerous electronic resources.

  In consultation with other members of the department, plan and implement enhancements to reference service, notably in the area of electronic access.

  Provide reference service, including online database and Internet searching, and instruction in the use of the library.

  Represent the Reference Library on library-wide committees, and serve as a liaison between the Reference Library and other units in the library.
