·         Head the Department of Conservation, including conservation, circulating book repair, and pamphlet binding

·         Oversee 2 FTE staff members and 6 (1.5 FTE) student employees

·         Organize workflow between the Department of Conservation and 42 departmental/branch libraries

·         Compose full treatment proposals and documentation for conservation work, including digital

 photo documentation

·         Perform treatments on circulating book and pamphlet materials, special collections materials, and archival collections, ranging from simple repairs to full conservation treatment

Special Collections and Archives

University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY

·         Researched and wrote successful preservation and access grants for the Audio-Visual Archives

·         Composed long-range project plan for the processing, preservation, and digitization of the Herald-

        Leader  newspaper photograph morgue collection of approximately 1.8 million photographs

·         Completed a sample survey of the Herald-Leader Newspaper collection, including format, process, housing, environment, stability, and deterioration of the photographs

·         Created a long-range preservation plan for photographic materials held in the Audio-Visual Archives
