RANKINGS: HUMOR AND SATIRE
Academic Squirrels of California and Beyond

Methodology: Simple. The quality of the institution is directly related to the number of squirrels on its campus.
This site of international renown ranks schools based on the size, girth and health of the university's squirrel population. Squirrel Spotters are enlisted to report on their findings. However, in the interest of fairness, please note that Scary Squirrel World refutes these rankings, pointing out the evils of "squirrel world domination". You be the judge! (Librarian's note: the site is in need of some alphabetization. UIUC comes after Manatee Community College but before the College of Wooster. I mean, come on! At least order them by state/country or something.)
College Ranking Service

Methodology: This site's methodology can be found on their Methodology Page. However, be forewarned, "the methodology involved is so complicated that it defies explanation."
With the help of CRS Mighty Max, "the most powerful supercomputer in the world", the College Ranking Service has identified 629 independent factors contributing to the quality of a college. Because rankings are inherently dynamic, each time the "refresh" button is clicked, Mighty Max will recompute the rankings based on the most up-to-the-nanosecond data. This site is the light-hearted answer to the oft-confusing arena of college rankings.
