To find article databases by subject, please use the "Subjects" navbar links at left.

Frequently Used Databases in the Social Sciences

Electronic Journals

• ESSL electronic journals page
• Online Research Resources: Journals and Newspapers
  Central database of all UIUC electronic periodicals. Search by journal title (e.g. Journal of Educational Administration), not specific article titles.

Print Periodicals

• Print periodicals at the ESSL (includes alphabetical list of titles and FAQ)

Other Resources

• Request an Article Photocopy
  If you can't find a particular journal online or in the university's print holdings, you can request photocopies of specific articles. Interlibrary loan will locate the article for you at another library and provide a copy, usually in electronic format. To place a request, follow the above link to the interlibrary loan web site. Click the "Login to My Account" link, and then select "Request a photocopy."
