The U.S. Bureau of Printing and Engraving web site offers links and information about their products, history, and anti-counterfeiting efforts.  Also listed are tutorials and interactive web media about the new currency <Flash Macromedia Anti-Counterfeiting site>.  They also have a number of fact sheets and trivia about money<Money Facts>.  As the Bureau of Printing and Engraving is issuing a new currency design for the twenty dollar bill on Oct. 9, there is extensive information and publicity about the new money on their site <The New Color of Money>.

U.S. Secret Service Counterfeit Investigations

Established in 1863, The U.S. Secret Service is in charge of investigating counterfeit currency as well as its more well-known duty of protecting the President.  Their Know Your Money site provides a detailed description of changes in U.S. currency since 1990.  The site also contains information about how to detect counterfeit money <Know Your Money: How to Detect Counterfeit Currency>.
