American Forests
American Forests is the nation's oldest nonprofit citizens conservation organization, founded in 1875.
The group helped create the conservation movement in the United States, and the National Park and National Forest systems.
American Forests also pioneered sustainable forestry and urban forestry. And today, they are in the midst of one of the
largest ecosystem restoration programs ever . . . to plant 20 million trees for the new millennium.
