How do I find....?

Included in the drop down menu you will find general resources like:

  • How Do I...? : The Undergraduate Library has a number of basic short tutorials available with the title How Do I .... ?
  • One-On-One Help : Services that offer personal assistance with library resources and your research.

As well as more advanced resources like:

  • Finding Research Articles and Refereed Journals
    This tutorial explains how to identify research articles and refeered journals. While this tutorial was developed specifically for a Library and Information Science class, the information can be applied to other subject areas.
  • Introduction to Cited Reference Searching
    A cited reference is an acknowledgement of an author's debt to the work of another researcher. Cited reference searching is a research process where you begin with an article and search for other articles that have cited it as a reference. It allows you to find similar articles to one you already have and see the influence of a particular author's research. This tutorial will teach you how do cited reference searching using Web of Science, one of the article databases available to UIUC library patrons.
