Contact your subject librarian to collaborate on ideas such as:

  • Adding relevant library links (and subject contact information) to the course
  • Adding links to existing resources, such as e-journals, e-books, databases, specific articles, subject pages, digital collections and more
  • Creating a tailored subject guide to upload to a course
  • Incorporating subject specific databases into compass
  • Holding "virtual" office hours in Compass or monitoring the bulletin boards "a research help thread" for questions
  • Creating a "Librarian's Corner" with relevant journals, databases, search strategies, subject headings for searching, subject guides
  • Creating learning modules on topics related to the course
  • Creating or identifying tutorials to help with the search process or units on ideas such as "ethical use of information"
  • Modifying assignments to include library components and to teach research concepts (use of a particular subject database, for example)
  • Creating pre- and post-tests to measure student's knowledge of research concepts
