ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO THE ASSOCIATE UNIVERSITY LIBRARIAN FOR SERVICES
Charge:
The Advisory Committee to the Associate University Librarian for Services will provide guidance and advice to the Associate University Librarian for Services on such issues as:
· How best to preserve our core service values while also stimulating progress
· How to identify with precision what expectations our users have for our services
· How best to meet these expectations through reallocation of resources and energies or other appropriate strategies
· How to improve our support services (e.g., cataloging, acquisitions) in order to make us more effective in delivering services to all our users
· Setting priorities for the AUL for Services
The Committee should be able to provide broad, diverse, and innovative viewpoints on services today as well as on their future directions.
Composition:
The Committee is chaired by the AUL for Services and will consist of seven members appointed for two-year terms by the University Librarian with the advice of the Executive Committee and the AUL for Services. Committee members will serve two-year staggered terms, may be appointed to one successive term, and are drawn form an appropriate balance of academic and support staff.
