EMERGENCY RESPONSE AND SECURITY TASK FORCE


Charge

The Library Emergency Response and Security Task Force is charged with the responsibilities of assessing the institution's security and emergency preparedness. These duties include, but are not limited to: assessing existing collection security and personal safety guidelines, developing and implementing new guidelines and policies when necessary, evaluating the availability of and procuring emergency and disaster response equipment, preparing and regularly updating manuals and guidelines, making recommendations about emergency response and disaster preparedness, and training personnel for emergency response. The task force reports to the University Librarian. Membership is primarily position-driven, but additional assistance will be sought from within the Library and the community to complete specific tasks.
