The Library treasures its outstanding faculty. All librarians are faculty members who contribute significantly to scholarly literature in their respective fields. One of the greatest challenges is recruiting and retaining librarians in a highly competitive job market—a challenge that can be met with endowed funds.

Endowed funds enhance faculty recruitment by providing salaries and research funding in perpetuity. As the campaign progresses, the Library hopes to announce the establishment of additional endowed positions, including chairs, professorships, and academic positions.

Campaign Focus

• Create endowed chairs and professorships for departmental head librarians that will promote research in specific disciplines

• Create new endowed academic positions that will focus on maximizing the use of special collections in research and teaching
