With over 35 library units, hundreds of electronic databases, tens of thousands of electronic journal articles available to the screen, and more than 10 million volumes available to the touch, our resources are vast.
Learning how to most effectively use our Library can be a challenge. With so much for you to use, services are the cornerstone of our 21st century library. We help you to mine the vast resources of the Information Age in order to meet your teaching, learning, and scholarly goals. Our goal is to help you find the right information from the right source at the right time, and to help you to make the best use of that information in your classroom, laboratory, or publication.
Services to our users are provided through a decentralized network of departmental libraries, as well as through information and research assistance programs, campus-wide programs focusing on information literacy instruction, and outreach to the campus and community. We are also committed to ensuring that our staff are familiar with the full range of needs that you may have. We meet that commitment through an ongoing program of continuing education and staff training.
Academic libraries are in a state of transition as we balance the needs of our vast print collections and physical facilities with the needs of our users for flexible learning and study environments and digital access to collections and services. We engage in an ongoing process of self-assessment through surveys, focus groups, and individual interviews. Please help us to continue to improve our service to you by letting us know if you have a question, comment, compliment, or concern.
