About the Chemistry Library

The Chemistry Library is located at 170 Noyes Laboratory. The entrance is in the southeast corner of the building. Current library hours are posted on the Chemistry Library's Hours, Location, & Staff page.

The library contains Reserve Materials, Circulating and Reference Books (in call number order), and the Journal Collection. The journals are not available for check-out.

There are 2 copiers in the library. There are 10 public access PCs, near the Circulation Desk.

Any questions you may have can be asked at the Circulation Desk.


About SciFinder Scholar 2006

SciFinder Scholar is a graphical software program that accesses a database of Chemical Abstracts information from 1907 to the present. More information about SciFinder Scholar can be found on the official SciFinder Scholar web site.

SciFinder Scholar is available on the public access PCs at the Chemistry Library and may be used by 10 UIUC/UIC users at one time, 24 hours a day.


To open SciFinder Scholar in the Chemistry Library:

Go to the Chemistry Library homepage and look for the SciFinder Scholar link in the "Databases" section.




If you are not using a public access PC at the Chemistry Library, this link will not work, and you will see an access message instead.
