Databases and Other Reference Resources
The University of Illinois Library offers a rich collection of electronic article indexes and databases for citations to articles and papers published in scholarly journals and popular periodicals.
This page provides links to online reference tools and databases specifically related to chemistry and the physical sciences, including search engines, physical properties databases (information such as chemical structures and material safety data sheets), patent databases, and bibliographic resources (for identifying and locating citations) such as Chemical Abstracts/SciFinder Scholar and Beilstein. There are also many print reference tools such as Chemical Abstracts for on-site use in the Chemistry Library.
At the bottom of the page, we have compiled all of the resources that are products of a government agency; there is no new information in this section, but it is a way to find all of the government information in one place.
