Tips – Suggestions -- Cobalt Troubleshooting

•  

  1. Make sure compound is in Hill Order

  i.e. Alphabetical Order (Ex. Co(NH3)3Br3=Br3CoH9N3)


2. If compound doesn’t show up in Sci-Finder, cut off extra charged ligands


Ex.  [Co(NH3)6Br]Br2 can be searched for as BrCoH18N6

Note that [  ]Br2 was removed.

3. Limit search to 1970-1989
