Use netLibrary's interface to search UIUC's collection of e-books.  Search by author, title, subject, keywords, publisher, year of publication, or search in the full text.  The e-books may be browsed online, "checked out" and read online, or downloaded for reading offline. 

Oxford Reference Online - Biological Sciences *NEW*

Contains a collection of  electronic biological science dictionaries. Dictionaries may be searched individually or as a group. 

 

Project Guttenberg

Project Guttenberg provides free full-text downloads of public domain books (usually published prior to 1923). The site contains many works by Charles Darwin.

PubMed Bookshelf

Contains a growing collection of biomedical books such as Lodish's Molecular Biology of the Cell (3rd ed) and Riddle's C. elegans II.
