Importing Slides into PowerPoint:
You can import slides one-by-one into a PowerPoint presentation.
Importing PowerPoint presentations into the OIV (2.6 ONLY)
1. Open a new PowerPoint presentation
2. Open a new slide in PowerPoint
3. Go to ARTstor and locate images in the ARTstor collection which you would like to import
4. Double click on an individual image
5. Once the image has appeared in large format in the separate window called the “Image Viewer ”, use the  on the bottom right of the window to save a copy of the image.
6. A window will appear asking you to agree to Terms and Conditions of Use. You can view those terms and conditions and then press “I accept”
7. A dialog box will appear asking you to save the image in a location of your choice
8. A blank white screen will also appear, you may close this screen
9. Go back to your PowerPoint presentation. Under “Insert” on the top menu bar, select “Picture” and then “From File”.
10. A dialog box will appear asking you to locate the file from which you would like to access your image
*Note: You may have to select “All Files” under the “Files of Type” pull down menu at the bottom of this dialog box in order for your picture to appear
11. Double click on the image and watch it appear in your slide
12. You can change the size of the picture simply by Right Clicking over the image and choosing “Format Picture” from the pull down menu
13. Select the “Size” tab and use the tools to make it taller or wider
*Note: You can use all the functions of PowerPoint, you are just downloading images from an external source to your hard drive and then into your PowerPoint presentation.
Importing PowerPoint presentations into the OIV (2.6 ONLY)
1. From the Getting Started menu, available when the OIV is first launched, select Import PowerPoint presentation
2. A dialog box will appear asking you to select the file from your computer
3. Select file and click Open
4. File will open in a new OIV presenation.
*Note: You will notice some of your formating will have disappeared
5. Edit presentation as you would any other OIV presentation |
