ProQuest Access Provided to Alumni Association Members

The University of Illinois Libraries and University of Illinois Alumni Association (UIAA) have introduced a valuable new service for UIAA members: online access to the ProQuest/ABI-INFORM Complete database.  The database includes more than 4,000 magazines, newspapers, periodicals, scientific and professional journals, and trade publications.

ProQuest includes current and archived issues in full text and/or abstract versions.  In addition, users can perform basic and advanced queries such as subject and keyword searches.  Titles include The Chronicle of Higher Education, Newsweek, Time, USA Today, U.S. News & World Report, and The Wall Street Journal as well as highly specialized publications.

While license restrictions prohibit member access to all the databases provided by the three U of I libraries, the new service will extend the reach of the University’s world-class libraries to alumni living in all 50 states and more than 125 countries of the world.  Until now, these services have been available only to U of I faculty, staff, and students with a valid University NetId.

To access this service (which requires a Login ID and password), visit the UIAA Online Services Gateway.  For more information about ProQuest or UIAA membership, please contact the Alumni Service Center at (800) 355-2586.
